Getting on with it

Ok, second post. Hard to get going.

Currently sitting in my living room, in the afternoon sun, enjoying the life as a dad watching over my 1 year old daughter.
Amongst other things than typing away on my iPad, doing a little translation, I am thinking about the (my) future, which I tend to do a lot anyway. But the time is such, that I'm kind of unsure where it'll go.
It is hard to vision out the future, though I keep trying and it appears that I'm not much of the mark, usually (only) getting the timing wrong.
But which future am I babbling about? Ha! Did I manage to catch you drifting away with your own sense of what's going to happen next?
I'm currently concerned about my personal professional future. Although all matters are more or less inter-dependant, just depending on the timing (again!) of the various happenings.
Basically, I have one year to find a reasonable steady income solution... Part of the constraints is my location, based in south west France with wife and kids, from which we would not like to be separated. The local industries are mostly based around tourism with a heavy period during the summer. There's also a "flourishing" boardsports industry that includes most major brands such as Quiksilver, Billabong or Volcom... Otherwise, a lot of smaller businesses exist here, including a little Silicon Valley, still in a "wanabe" status, but I do have my hopes up (one of the reasons of my "New California" wording).
As I found the drift to write or tell some things about myself, I'll see to do a few more chapters in this subject line... Got to go now.
